Designed for life
Residential project
This new build property was thoughtfully designed to adapt to everyday life, creating a highly functional yet beautiful home.
BRIEF
The client required a flexible, accessible kitchen space, suitable for day-to-day use in a wheelchair, while also sociable and relaxed for when family and friends visit, creating a universal design, for all to utilise and enjoy.
DESIGN
A considered design was achieved by carefully understanding how the client would use the space. Focussing in on a holistic approach formed a flexible and connected kitchen & living space, combining harmonious and practical finishes.
By placing the dishwasher into the integrated tall bank of furniture, valuable space was freed up below worktops, meaning inclusive features, such as open knee spaces below the sink & hob were possible. These are supported by hidden handy storage solutions, such as pull-out larders & pull-down shelves. Neff slide & hide oven doors allow ease of use, avoiding awkward reach spaces and a Quooker boiling water tap provides the simplicity of instant boiling water. The precision of these details are softened by the imitation wood texture of the furniture and delicately veined wraparound worktops.
PROJECT FEATURES
This project features SieMatic SLC furniture in Java oak with quartz worktops, Neff appliances, Westin extraction, Quooker boiling water tap & a co-ordinating media wall.
