Brief.
Designed to suit the client’s busy lifestyle and social gatherings, the brief was to create an elegant space featuring neutral tones to create a sophisticated atmosphere for hosting whilst remaining calm and comfortable for everyday use. As the professional couple have three small children, the primary goal of the project was to create an inviting & comfortable family kitchen for everyday use, a hardworking space which is highly functional, practical and versatile, without compromising on aesthetics. Our BLEND concept was proposed, a fusion of classic and contemporary elements achieved by combining traditional handcrafted Georgian doors with the modern Siematic SLX range, a stunning book matched porcelain splashback features behind the sink run for added elegance along with a square island to maximize the functionality of the space, each side used for different task zones.
Design.
The design features a stunning central banquette seating area, perfectly positioned to create a striking focal point within the space, the seating has been carefully considered to ensure the children can comfortably view the television in the adjacent lounge, connecting the main family spaces together. The practical addition of the booth seating, designed in a understated ivory boucle, is perfectly suited for family life as the specified fabric is both washable and wipeable, ensuring it remains child-friendly while maintaining its elegant appearance. The kitchen includes two tall banks from each furniture collection to accentuate both contrasting styles, whilst bringing added functionality, the SieMatic tall bank is equipped with ovens, fridge, freezer, warming drawers, and a wine cooler, while the handmade sink run has a dedicated breakfast pantry, and additional storage along with the practically of two dishwashers to maximise efficiency after parties and large family dinners. The striking Siematic SLX range features ambient lighting integrated within the recessed channels, this has been paired with task lighting inside the breakfast pantry and beneath the wall cabinets.
Project Features.
The furniture features SieMatic SLX in Oolong Oak imitation laminate and handmade Aberford doors from our exclusive ’Darling Maeve’ collection. The worktops are Macchia Vecchia porcelain worktop paired with Caesarstone Quartz Organic White, accented with a brass inlay detail. The kitchen features Gaggenau ovens, warming drawers and hob, along with Liebherr refrigeration and Siemens. The Quooker tap paired with two patinated brass soap dispensers.
