Residential project

Set in a quaint Lincolnshire village, this extensive renovation project has created a serene family home with a charming large scale kitchen living space.

BRIEF

A multi-purpose hub of the home was needed for busy day-to-day life, balancing practicality and refined design. With a large extended family and lively pooch ‘Stanley’, a space which flowed seamlessly to the outdoors and weekends of entertaining was also important.

DESIGN

The sweeping island acts as the main workspace and social point, looking over the beautiful views of the home’s garden, while a highly functional tall bank of furniture sits behind, hiding a chimney breast. To maximise use of the kitchen’s footprint, a hidden pantry was created to the far side, providing floor to ceiling storage and a spot to keep worktop appliances off the feature island.
The combination of diverse materials and careful use of lighting forms a striking semblance, the symmetrical forms however, pare this back to a relaxed yet memorable space.

PROJECT FEATURES

This project features SieMatic SLX furniture in Imitation wood and velvet-matt lacquer finishes with Dekton sintered stone worktops, Spekva breakfast bar, Fisher & Paykel appliances and Quooker boiling water tap.
